Welcome to our April 2009 Newsletter
The year saw us start slowly with wins at Crookwell Show and The Canberra Royal Show. From there we went to Dubbo Beef Cattle Expo where we took out Reserve Senior Champion cow with Elizabethfields Gemma B1. From there we entered bulls in the National show and Sale at Wodonga.
National Show and Sale Wodonga
Taking part in our first show and sale we successfully sold our two bulls with Elizabethfields Tycoon going to the Gyles Family of Western Australia and Woodbourn Rocketman going to Richard and Josephine Martin from Bungendore NSW. Congratulations on your fine purchases.
We entered our local Yass Show and Gemma B1 came away interbreed Senior Champion Cow. We also took out best beef cattle exhibitor for the second time.
SYDNEY ROYAL SHOW
What a win Gemma B1 went on to take out the Manooka Trophy for our fourth win and also our forth Supreme Exhibit win. We also took out reserve Champion cow and Reserve Junior Champion Bull with Elizabethfields Tycoon, congratulations to the Gyles family on the win.
The win was made even more special because her dam Millwood Gemma X231 won us our first Supreme Exhibit in 2006. Following on we had two more successive Supreme Exhibits with Millwood Jeanette V257 and Millwood Jeanette A1 in 2007 & 2008. What great mother-daughter combinations!
BREAKING NEWS!!
We have just purchased Whitburn Bozley B1 from Tahnee Manton Whitburn Murray Grey Stud Glencoe NSW. Bozley was Grand Champion Bull in Sydney this year and was in the team with EFS Gemma for the Horden Trophy where we placed in the top 9.
Tahnee will parade Bozley in Rockhampton next week and he will then be presented for exhibition at Bendigo Beef Expo next month.
